In English Translation: #JusticeForSidewalks, An Initiative Project for Koalisi Pejalan Kaki
In Indonesia, sidewalks are often misused for parking, street vending, or even crossed by vehicles, forcing pedestrians onto the road and putting them at risk. Although there are laws that regulate this, they rarely work. Justice only comes after the case is going viral. Unfortunately, many pedestrians choose to remain silent. That’s why Koalisi Pejalan Kaki as pedestrian advocacy community, created an anomaly of alive sidewalks that speak up first, boldly and humorously voicing their frustration as the misused victim. Through the #JusticeForTrotoar campaign, it can be a relatable entry point to encourage young pedestrians to speak up and reclaim their rights for safe sidewalks.
